Windowing woes

An entertaining article surfaced today, titled The struggle of resizing windows on macOS Tahoe and written by Norbert Heger. It did the rounds at Hacker News and Lobsters, with many insightful comments adding to the entertaining take on the struggle to find the resize hotspot in Apple’s latest release:

I think this is just one more good example of how Apple’s interface design standards have been declining for many years now. These problems shouldn’t be difficult to identify, but they’re often trickier to fix because of a messy web of connected problems. In this case, the rounded corners (that nobody asked for) are likely to blame.

At least, I kinda hope it’s that. Otherwise, I can only imagine there’s a case of The Emperor’s New Clothes going on in Cupertino. Because somebody must see what’s going on here.
